Once again, the so-called “guardians of democracy” in the Biden administration have been caught making up their own rules. This time, the Pentagon got smacked down by a federal judge for acting like the gatekeepers of truth. They tried to kick all reporters out—just to keep their buddies at the New York Times from whining about being excluded. Talk about childish. In the name of fairness, they said no one could enter, thinking that would solve the problem. But this trick backfired in spectacular fashion.
Let’s be clear: the Pentagon tried to cover its tracks by banning every single reporter just to target one outlet. Isn’t it funny how liberals talk about “free speech” and “transparency” but then try to shut down the press when things get inconvenient? This is the kind of dishonesty the left specializes in. When they don’t get what they want, they change the rules or cheat the system. And, as usual, it’s regular Americans who pay the price for their backroom schemes.
What’s really going on here? The establishment elites want complete control—over the narrative, over the facts, and over citizens’ minds. When the press doesn’t do their bidding, they use dirty tricks to silence them. Meanwhile, these same bureaucrats chase any conservative leaker or whistleblower with torches and pitchforks. Yet they’re happy to let progressive activists move freely through their halls as long as they stick to the party line.
The judge’s ruling is a rare moment of accountability for a government that’s gotten far too cozy with unchecked power. For years, free speech has been under attack. This time, it wasn’t a conservative outlet bearing the brunt, but anyone paying attention can see which direction things have been headed. Today it’s the New York Times, but tomorrow it could be any voice the regime doesn’t like—especially those fighting for American values.
If the Pentagon thinks it’s above the law, maybe it’s time for even tougher scrutiny. The left loves to lecture about democracy—until it threatens their grip on power. Are Americans supposed to trust these clowns with our national defense if they can’t even follow the First Amendment?
