California liberals just can’t get out of their own way. Every time gas prices spike at the pump, they start pointing fingers at everyone but themselves. The latest excuse? Blame it on global turmoil or some overseas conflict. But the truth is staring them in the face: Democrats and their failed, job-killing policies are the real reason Californians are paying through the nose for gas.
For years, radicals in Sacramento have waged war on the oil and gas industry. Higher taxes, suffocating regulations, and environmental rules so extreme they might as well be designed by Greta Thunberg herself. These self-righteous bureaucrats have choked off production and scared away investment. And who’s left picking up the tab? Everyday Americans who just want to get to work and put food on the table.
Instead of building pipelines or supporting American energy workers, California’s leaders cozy up to globalist interests. They pretend they’re saving the planet, but all they’re really doing is lining the pockets of foreign oil suppliers and pushing families to the brink. When gas prices go through the roof, these same politicians cry crocodile tears and act like it’s all just an unavoidable act of fate. What a joke.
Meanwhile, the United States continues to sit on a treasure trove of resources. But because of policies cooked up by climate alarmists in the state capitol, Californians get the pleasure of seeing some of the highest gas prices in the nation. Regular people pay more just so Newsom and his buddies can look woke at their next fundraiser.
Here’s the hard truth: Liberal incompetence is killing California’s middle class. Gas prices don’t have to be this high, and everyone knows it except for the folks who keep voting blue no matter what. How much longer will people let these anti-American, anti-energy elites destroy what’s left of common sense in the Golden State? Maybe it’s time for a real change—and a real dose of reality.
