Democrats in California love talking about “morals” and “accountability,” but when it comes to their own, it’s always a different story. This week, the left’s golden boy, Rep. Eric Swalwell, is caught in the middle of a political earthquake. A former staffer says Swalwell sexually assaulted her—on two different occasions. The California political stage is shaking, and Democrats are scrambling to sweep this one under the rug.
Liberals love screaming about the “war on women” when it comes to Republicans. But when a Democrat is in trouble, they suddenly lose their voices. Their so-called party of “believe women” now pretends nothing ever happened. The silence is deafening. Swalwell, the same guy who lectured everyone about “decency,” is now being accused of the same ugly behavior the left claims to hate.
This isn’t just a one-off, either. The Democrat leadership in California looks more incompetent every day. If they can’t even keep their own house in order, why should Americans trust them to lead? For years, Democrats have let corruption and perversion run wild, putting their own political power above basic decency. They rush to attack conservatives for far less, all while coddling folks like Swalwell.
There’s a rotten culture festering inside the left’s elite circles. They protect their favorites, cover up scandal, and let globalist interests—like those cozy relationships Swalwell’s held with foreign agents—slide by without scrutiny. Meanwhile, everyday Americans pay the price for California’s out-of-touch Democrats playing kingmakers.
Will anyone on the left call out Swalwell? Or will the hypocrisy continue, with their leaders more interested in power than protecting women? Americans deserve better than these double standards and backroom politics. Once again, it’s the same old story from Democrats: rules for thee, but not for me.
