The Democrat Party claims to champion women’s rights—until the accused predator happens to be one of their own. That’s the pathetic spectacle unfolding around Rep. Eric Swalwell, the California Congressman now facing explosive accusations from a former staffer who says he sexually assaulted her. While he poses as a “family man” and progressive hero, the truth may be far more sinister.
According to the allegations, Swalwell took advantage of his own staffer on at least two occasions when she was too drunk to even consent. This is the same Eric Swalwell who plays morality police every time he sees a conservative sneeze out of line. Where’s the media parade of outrage? Where’s the “believe all women” crowd now? Suddenly, it’s radio silence from the Democrats and their pals in corporate media.
The hypocrisy is gut-wrenching. A dozen others have also said Swalwell crossed a line with inappropriate relationships. But the left doesn’t care, because he’s one of their golden boys—a champion of radical causes and, conveniently, a candidate for governor. Funny how fast Democrat “values” disappear when it’s politically inconvenient.
Even his own campaign co-chair, another Democrat Congressman, got so uncomfortable with the mounting scandal that he bailed and demanded Swalwell step down. It says a lot when even your own team can’t stomach your behavior anymore. And now, multiple insiders—people who actually work in Democrat politics—are admitting these claims are real. The swamp knows, and they’re tired of hiding it.
If Rep. Swalwell wore a red hat or an “R” next to his name, Democrats would be screeching from the rooftops, big tech would have him canceled, and Hollywood would demand public humiliation. Instead, it’s another day of selective outrage for the “party of women.” How much more hypocrisy will Americans tolerate before they stop trusting these professional liars?
