Real journalism in America is on life support. The so-called “objective” reporters pat themselves on the back, but let’s be honest: true objectivity is about as real as a politician’s promise. It’s always fallen short. Yet, for generations, real newsmen at least tried to separate facts from their own left-wing emotions. Somehow, integrity used to mean something.
Now, that honesty is missing. Today’s mainstream media churns out stories like an assembly line, built to serve woke elites and globalist interests—not the everyday American who’s just trying to make sense of the world. If you read the headlines, you’d think every conservative is a villain and every radical liberal is a hero. What happened to digging for facts instead of spinning fairy tales?
There once were rules—serious ones—that guided reporters and editors. These weren’t about cancel culture, virtue signaling, or making excuses for corrupt politicians. They were about chasing the truth, even if it meant ruffling some feathers on both sides of the aisle. Today’s so-called “journalists” would laugh at those standards, too busy trying to boost their social media fame or sell out to the next corporate overlord.
The truth is, the media has abandoned its roots because holding the powerful accountable isn’t profitable anymore, especially when it’s their own liberal buddies in Washington. Newsrooms have been taken over by activists, not reporters. Faith in journalism is collapsing because Americans know a steaming pile of propaganda when they see it, and they’re tired of being treated like fools. If editors and reporters want respect, they need to start acting like grown-ups who care about facts, not feelings.
It’s not complicated: report honestly, challenge your own biases, and stop acting like the PR department for the radical left. If the media really wants to save itself, it should go back to the old rules—integrity first, spin last. Isn’t it strange how “objectivity” is only demanded when conservatives speak up? Maybe the real question is this: Are the leftist media hacks even capable of putting truth over their own agenda, or are they too far gone?
