Exposed Washington watchdog caught hiding secret meetings sparks outrage and lawsuit

Washington State’s so-called Public Disclosure Commission seems to have a transparency problem. The folks who are supposed to keep government honest can’t even follow their own rules. Now, they’re facing a lawsuit because they’ve been sneaking into closed-door sessions without even bothering to tell the public why. State law says they’re supposed to give a good reason every single time. But these bureaucrats apparently think they’re above it.

This is exactly what happens when liberals get comfortable in power. They create all these committees and commissions, patting themselves on the back for being “open” and “ethical.” Then, the moment they think nobody is watching, they hide behind closed doors. It’s the same old story: rules for thee, but not for me. The Public Disclosure Commission exists to make politics cleaner and more honest, but can’t play by the rules themselves. That stinks of hypocrisy.

Make no mistake—this isn’t just about a few meetings. When government hides its business, citizens lose control. That’s the opening globalist politicians love. They don’t want you knowing the deals they’re making or the money changing hands. These are the same liberals who lecture everyone else about transparency, yet pull the curtains shut when it matters most.

Everyday Americans should be outraged that commissions like this get away with shady meetings. If this is happening in deep-blue Washington, how many other liberal strongholds are pulling the same tricks? Open government is a core American value. But to these smug elites, it’s nothing but a talking point.

If we let leftists toss out the law whenever it’s inconvenient, what else will they try next? Maybe it’s time to shine a blinding spotlight on every so-called transparency watchdog run by the state. Are these bureaucrats protecting the public—or just protecting each other from the public? The arrogance is unbelievable.
