Russia shreds Easter truce as West exposes its weakness again

Russia doesn’t care about treaties or truces, and the world just keeps pretending otherwise. Over the Orthodox Easter weekend—a time that’s supposed to be about peace—Russia fired off drone strikes against Ukrainian positions right after they declared some so-called ceasefire. This is the same script we’ve seen from the Kremlin again and again: say one thing for the cameras, do another when nobody’s looking.

But where is the outrage from the liberal establishment? All we hear are empty words and hollow press releases. The professional do-gooders and globalist elites act shocked, but they’re still trying to ride both sides of the fence. Why? Because standing up to real bullies takes guts. And the left lost their backbone long ago. If this were any other country at any other time, they’d be screaming to the heavens about broken truces and “war crimes.” But when it’s Russia, somehow, the excuses pour in.

Meanwhile, the White House twiddles its thumbs. Our leaders throw billions at Ukraine, but won’t demand any real consequences when Russia tramples on truce after truce. They’d rather write fat checks than use real leverage to keep Putin in check. It’s more proof that the globalist agenda cares more about virtue signaling than actual results. The losers are honest Ukrainians, and—by extension—the American taxpayer.

Letting Russia get away with these drone attacks, especially during a solemn religious holiday, shows just how weak and hypocritical the West has become. The Kremlin isn’t afraid of red lines. They cross them every week and dare the world to do anything about it. As usual, the left’s empty threats and photo-ops mean nothing to strongmen like Putin. Why would they ever respect democratic principles when the so-called defenders of democracy are all talk and no action?

Call it what it is: liberal incompetence wrapped up in a shiny bow of hypocrisy. If our leaders can’t get serious, is there any wonder tyrants keep testing them? Russia knows there’s no penalty for breaking their “promises.” The only question now is: how many more will suffer before the West finally grows a spine?
