EU accused of secretly targeting Hungary’s conservative leader Orbán

The hypocrisy from global elites never ends. As Hungary heads into a crucial election, Republicans in Congress are sounding the alarm about serious meddling from the European Union. It’s outrageous but not surprising. The EU Commission seems desperate to crush any leader who dares to put his own country first — especially Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, a staunch defender of national sovereignty and traditional values.

Instead of respecting Hungary’s right to choose its own path, the EU is sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong. Brussels bureaucrats want to pick the Hungarian leader themselves. Why? Because Orbán stands up to globalist policies, open borders, and the unaccountable left-wing elite that has flooded Europe with chaos. Apparently, real democracy scares them unless it produces their preferred results.

The liberal establishment loves to shriek about “foreign interference” whenever it suits their agenda. The very same people who screamed for years about Russia now turn a blind eye when their buddies in the EU work overtime to undermine a conservative government. It’s pure double standards. If conservatives ever dared to pull these kinds of strings in, say, France or Germany, the media would explode with outrage.

Let’s be real: these attacks on Orbán aren’t about “protecting democracy.” They’re about crushing a movement that puts family, faith, and national pride first — the same values the left wants to destroy at home and abroad. The EU has become a puppet for woke ideologues and unelected bureaucrats who want to silence every conservative voice on the continent. Any leader with the backbone to defy them gets targeted.

American lawmakers are right to call out this shameless interference. If we care about real democracy, it’s time to stop pretending the EU is some neutral authority. Hungary deserves the right to choose its own future — not have it handed down by faceless globalists. When did it become okay for so-called “allies” to meddle in elections just because they dislike a conservative? Maybe it’s time for the left to look in the mirror before preaching about democracy.
