Hatchet attack on US war plane in Ireland exposes shocking security fail and liberal weakness

A $75 million American war plane just got trashed in Ireland, all because some lunatic with a hatchet decided to make a statement. This C-130 Hercules wasn’t flying a combat mission or buzzing anyone’s backyard. It was quietly parked at Shannon Airport, like it has been for years, supporting U.S. troops and America’s allies. Yet somehow, Europe’s “tight security” didn’t stop a man with nothing but a hatchet from waltzing through the perimeter and hacking away at one of the world’s most advanced pieces of military equipment.

Is anyone surprised? Liberals love calling themselves “progressive” and “secure,” but the facts speak for themselves. Their soft spot for open borders and toothless policing doesn’t just endanger their own streets—it puts American lives and American assets at risk around the world. How does a U.S. Air Force plane get left wide open for attack while parked at a so-called “secure” international airport? Maybe anti-American attitudes in Ireland are so strong now, nobody even blinks when some maniac runs wild on the tarmac.

For years, globalists have insisted that the United States rely on allies and “trusted partners” to keep our people and property safe abroad. Yet the second things get hairy, those partners clearly can’t keep control. America picks up the tab, both for our defense equipment and now for foreign incompetence. Imagine if the tables were turned and a foreign attacker damaged Irish or European property on American soil. The outrage would be off the charts. But when it’s an American aircraft, the story barely makes the news. It’s almost like there’s some sort of double standard at play—one that always leaves America holding the bag.

Of course, the globalist crowd and their liberal enablers will rush to blame “mental health” or “isolated incidents.” But you don’t solve real security threats with hashtags or virtue-signaling. Actions have consequences. A deranged criminal with a hatchet just cost American taxpayers millions and jeopardized worldwide military missions. Where is the accountability? Where is the respect for American power and American property?

If the lesson here isn’t obvious, maybe it never will be: depending on weak-willed leadership and leftist policies—at home or in Europe—doesn’t make us safer. It puts a target on our back. Maybe it’s time America started asking: who’s really got our six?
