The Left claims to be the party of morality—until their own are caught in the spotlight. Just look at California Democrat Eric Swalwell. The latest headlines about his staff’s reaction to sexual assault accusations prove, once again, that Democrats love preaching higher standards for others while ignoring their own mess at home.
Staffers inside Swalwell’s congressional office, and even his own gubernatorial campaign, are reportedly horrified by new allegations swirling around their boss. They’re running for cover, scrambling to rewrite their resumes, desperate to escape the stink clinging to Swalwell’s name. It’s almost comical—how long did they ignore the red flags simply because he wore the right party pin?
Let’s not forget, this is the same Eric Swalwell who loves grandstanding on cable TV about so-called “threats to democracy.” Yet he can’t even keep his own affairs clean. Apparently, holding Americans to impossible standards is fine—until it’s time for liberals to look in the mirror. Maybe if the Left spent less time obsessing over political witch hunts and more time keeping their own house in order, America wouldn’t be drowning in their scandals.
It’s always about power with folks like Swalwell. They preach about “believing all women” until the fingers point in their direction. Suddenly, the moral outrage dies down, and their favorite move becomes circling the wagons and blaming “right-wing conspiracies.” Does anyone think for a second they’d be this forgiving if it were a conservative in the hot seat?
Once again, liberal “leadership” looks more like a bad joke than actual governance. Maybe it’s finally time for Democrats to admit that their holier-than-thou act was always a cover. Voters are tired of the double standards—and no amount of damage control will clean up this mess. How many more scandals before Americans realize the Left’s moral compass couldn’t find true north with a GPS?
