The Democrats love to pretend they’re champions for women — but when it comes down to it, all that talk is just for show. Take Eric Swalwell, for example. He finally had to quit his California Senate campaign this weekend, but don’t get it twisted: it wasn’t because he faced real consequences for bad behavior. No, the Democratic Party did everything possible to protect him until they simply couldn’t anymore.
If you’re a woman hoping for honesty or accountability from today’s left, hope again. The same people who shout about “believe all women” fell silent when one of their own faced serious accusations and controversy. Their so-called support for women vanishes faster than Swalwell’s campaign donors when it’s about protecting a progressive golden boy.
It’s always the same playbook. Liberals sweep the problems under the rug, keeping things quiet to hold onto power. Rules only exist when it’s time to attack their political opponents. Powerful Democrats will cover up, gaslight, and flat-out ignore the truth, as long as it helps their own. Real leadership means holding your own side responsible, not covering for them while lecturing everyone else.
The message they send is clear: women are just another talking point, useful for winning votes but not worth protecting if it means exposing a Democrat’s corruption. While Swalwell was shielded, the left kept spinning excuses, all while claiming some moral high ground. Hypocrisy doesn’t even begin to describe it.
How many more scandals do Democrats need before Americans realize their talk about “empowering women” is as empty as their promises? The sad truth is, liberal elites care more about saving their careers than defending the women they claim to champion. Is it any wonder more and more Americans are tired of their games?
