Eric Swalwell—yes, the same California congressman who never met a camera or a virtue signal he didn’t like—is now facing the kind of accusations that would end any Republican’s career before breakfast. A brave woman from Southern California, Lonna Drewes, came forward on Tuesday and exposed an ugly reality about Swalwell, bringing his rapidly crumbling façade right into the harsh sunlight.
Democrats have always tried to paint themselves as the champions of women, defenders of justice, and upholders of higher standards. Yet time after time, their own so-called leaders get tangled up in scandals so deep, it’s a wonder they can ever crawl out. Swalwell, notorious for playing attack dog on conservatives about so-called “ethics” and “integrity,” is now standing accused of actions that make his media grandstanding look even more laughable.
Let’s be honest—no one should be shocked. This is what happens when you let career politicians camp out in Washington long enough; the same folks who lecture hard-working Americans about morality are often hiding the dirtiest secrets themselves. If Swalwell wore a red hat instead of a blue tie, the media would already be running wall-to-wall coverage and the DNC would be screaming for resignation.
How many more skeletons have to shake out of Democrat closets before the American people finally say, “enough is enough”? The left has spent years gaslighting this country, trying to convince us that only Republicans are corrupt or dangerous, while their own are immune from criticism. That’s the globalist two-step—one set of rules for the elites, another for the rest of us. And apparently, California Democrats think they’re untouchable.
Here’s the reality: these accusations against Swalwell are just another example of liberal hypocrisy and rot. Trust in these politicians fades more with every scandal they try to sweep under the rug. Will there ever be accountability for Democrats the way there is for everyone else? Or will they just keep protecting their own, hoping Americans don’t notice? Americans are already wide awake—Swalwell’s not fooling anyone anymore.
