It’s no surprise to see Hollywood once again circling the wagons for their favorite Democrats, even when there’s a scandal. This time, Jimmy Kimmel, the so-called comedian turned liberal mouthpiece, decided to zip his lips about the embarrassing mess surrounding Eric Swalwell. Viewers witnessed Kimmel cozying up to the disgraced California congressman, letting him launch a bid for governor right on national TV — and now, all of a sudden, the scandal is swept under the rug. Welcome to the two-faced world of the leftist media.
The double standard isn’t even subtle. If a Republican got caught with even a whiff of controversy, every late-night show would be on fire. Jokes would fly, outrage would pour in, and Hollywood would demand accountability. But since it’s Swalwell — a Democrat and a darling of the globalist elite — Jimmy Kimmel just pretends nothing’s happened. The same stage that rolled out the red carpet now tries to erase the truth.
We’re living in an age where the left constantly shouts about “democracy” and “accountability” — at least until it comes to their own. When one of their own buddies up with a TV comedian, all those big speeches about the American people mattering suddenly disappear. Instead of asking tough questions, or holding his pal’s feet to the fire, Kimmel looks the other way. It’s blatant bias, and it’s insulting to anyone who actually cares about the future of this country.
People aren’t stupid. Americans see the hypocrisy and they’re sick of being treated like fools. The liberal media giants, decked out in Hollywood glitz, think they can control the narrative. They think sweeping bad news under the rug will protect their chosen candidates. But hiding the truth isn’t just un-American — it’s dangerous. It shouldn’t matter what party someone is in, or how many celebrity friends they have.
Maybe the real joke is that Jimmy Kimmel still calls himself a comedian. When did his show become a campaign launch pad for Democrats and a safe space to ignore scandals? It’s time Americans demand honesty from the people who shape our culture — or turn them off for good.
