Once again, Americans are forced to face the real, devastating consequences of an open border policy. A Salvadoran national — in this country illegally, mind you — has just been arrested after authorities say he rammed into federal ICE agents. This isn’t some minor offense or poor soul seeking “a better life.” This suspect was already wanted for murder. Yet somehow, he was able to slip into California’s Central Valley and live among law-abiding citizens.
This is what sanctuary policies encourage: criminals crossing our border unchecked, finding safe havens in American communities, and putting innocent lives at risk. Instead of protecting our families and enforcing the law, leftist politicians hand out shelter to those who undermine our safety. No wonder crime is spiking everywhere these so-called “progressive” policies are in place. When the law is ignored and criminals are coddled, chaos follows.
ICE and the Department of Homeland Security didn’t just stumble upon this guy. He was violent, allegedly targeting federal agents with a dangerous ramming attack. Why wasn’t he stopped before he could threaten the lives of brave men and women tasked with enforcing our immigration laws? Because for years, Democrats and globalist elites have chipped away at border security, demonized law enforcement, and tied the hands of ICE at every turn.
Every story like this one exposes the left’s hypocrisy. They lecture about compassion and decency, yet turn a blind eye to suffering caused by unchecked illegal immigration. They mock Americans demanding law and order, but never seem to care when Americans are the ones paying the price — sometimes with their lives.
How many more American families must be traumatized before liberal leaders admit their disastrous policies aren’t working? Maybe, just maybe, it’s time to put American citizens first. Or will the left keep making excuses, while criminals exploit their broken system? Sanctuary states aren’t sanctuaries for Americans — they’re playgrounds for criminals.
