Tom Steyer is back—and this time, he’s trying to out-crazy even California’s wildest liberals. After the embarrassing exit of Eric Swalwell from the governor’s race, Steyer has jumped in, hoping people forget about his failed run for president and his cluelessness about what’s actually happening in California. But one thing’s for sure: Steyer isn’t hiding his radical plans when it comes to America’s borders.
His latest stunt? Pushing for an outlandish move against ICE that even Gavin Newsom might think twice about. While most Californians worry about soaring crime and surging homelessness, Steyer’s big idea is to go to war with immigration enforcement. That’s right—he wants to tie the hands of the very agents who protect Americans from drug smugglers, human traffickers, and criminal illegal aliens.
It’s almost a contest among California’s Democrats for who can toss aside common sense the fastest. Steyer’s campaign is drenched in leftist fantasy, not real-life solutions. At a time when Californians are fleeing their own state because liberal leaders won’t stand up for law and order, Steyer’s answer is to open the floodgates even wider and cheer on those who would undermine our nation’s laws.
Worse, this billionaire outsider acts like he’s swooping in to save folks he hasn’t even bothered to understand. Steyer has spent years bankrolling anti-American causes and trying to buy political influence, all while claiming to stand for the little guy. Meanwhile, legal immigrants and law-abiding citizens pay the price for leftist policies that reward lawbreakers and punish those who play by the rules.
Californians deserve leadership, not reckless virtue signaling. The state is on life support thanks to progressive experiments run amok. If Tom Steyer wants to turn California into an even bigger mess than Newsom already has, maybe he should just ask the people if they’re ready for total chaos at the border. Is there a single Democrat left in Sacramento who cares about America’s safety? Don’t bet on it.
