Congress in Chaos as Scandals Explode and Speaker Johnson Declares War on Corrupt Lawmakers

There’s a storm brewing in Congress, and it’s about time someone finally brought the heat. Speaker Mike Johnson isn’t afraid to clear out the trash in Washington. With scandals rocking the swamp on both sides, Johnson is drawing a line. Americans deserve real leaders, not criminals and creepy opportunists pretending to serve the nation. Let’s call it like it is: some lawmakers are nothing but a disgrace.

Look at Tony Gonzalez, the Republican from Texas who flamed out after a jaw-dropping scandal and an awful tragedy. It’s embarrassing when even a supposed conservative can’t keep his own moral compass straight. Then there’s Eric Swalwell, the California Democrat infamous for his own string of disgusting accusations. Within just a few days, Swalwell’s perfectly crafted political persona fell apart as sexual misconduct charges caught up to him in the worst way. These guys tried to act high and mighty, throwing stones from their glass houses—now they’re gone, and good riddance.

But even that mess doesn’t top what’s still happening on the Democrat side. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick is the latest disaster. She’s knee-deep in an ugly FEMA aid scandal and is alleged to have stolen millions meant for struggling Americans. It takes a special kind of arrogance to rob hurricane victims dry and then pretend nothing happened. When even the “woke” left won’t defend one of their own, you know it’s bad. Yet, instead of booting her outright, Democrats sat on their hands, hoping the public wouldn’t notice.

It’s always the same story with liberals. They scream about “accountability” but only when it serves their anti-American, globalist agenda. When it’s their friend caught with their hand in the cookie jar—or worse—they circle the wagons, make excuses, and play the victim. There’s no honesty, no shame, and definitely no real leadership coming from that side of the aisle. Speaker Johnson, with his focus on doing things the right way, should push even harder to get these frauds out of office, no matter who they are.

So here’s the bottom line: Congress will never clean itself up until we all demand it. If these people were running a business into the ground, they’d be fired on the spot. Why should corrupt politicians get a free pass just because they wear a fancy suit and spew woke nonsense on cable TV? If Democrats are truly serious about ethics, they’d put action ahead of empty words. Is it really so hard to oust a thief when she’s caught red-handed, or is the left just too far gone to care?
