Political correctness silenced a warning three girls paid with their lives

It happened again across the pond—this time in the U.K.—where political correctness snuffed out a warning that could have saved three innocent lives. A headteacher at Acorns School spotted the truth about Axel Rudakubana from day one: this wasn’t just a troubled student. He was high-risk, he was remorseless, and he had already been kicked out of mainstream schools for bringing in a knife. Only in the twisted world of modern liberalism could those facts be dismissed as “racial stereotyping”—as if noticing repeat violent behavior is some sort of hate crime.

Fear of being called a racist crushed any hope of early intervention. Even though the signs were clear as day, the so-called experts in children’s welfare shut down the headteacher for “pattern-recognition.” Once again, the left proves they’d rather protect their own woke reputations than protect real children. Is it any wonder Rudakubana later unleashed carnage at a dance class, stabbing and killing three girls?

What’s even more infuriating is how the system tripped over itself to avoid addressing the obvious. Now an inquiry admits there were “catastrophic failures” not only by policymakers, but also by the killer’s parents—refugees from Rwanda who apparently sat on a mountain of red flags. If these adults had shown even a shred of moral responsibility, lives could have been saved. But in the modern West, being vigilant is riskier than ignoring actual danger, especially if it might upset the fragile feelings of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion crowd.

This isn’t a one-off story. It’s the same tired plot we’ve seen in city after city, where criminals rack up arrests and keep being let go “in the name of social justice.” How many more Courtney Booses and Abdul Jallohs do we need before the left drops the act? If a teacher can’t even say “the kid with the knife is a threat” without being destroyed for racism, who exactly are these systems protecting?

Liberals keep teaching the world that hurt feelings are deadlier than real knives. The results are written in blood. Is this what “progress” looks like?
