It’s another sad day in Washington when Democrats get to celebrate a so-called “victory” for their open-borders agenda—and this time, we have ten Republicans to thank. Instead of standing up for American families, these so-called conservatives caved under pressure, helping House Democrats ram through a bill that extends special protections for Haitian nationals living in the U.S. for three more years. That’s right—while Americans face record inflation, out-of-control crime, and a border crisis spiraling out of control, Democrat lawmakers are doing victory laps for handing out more freebies to non-citizens.
Let’s be clear about what this bill really means: more chaos at the border, more jobs lost to foreign labor, and another slap in the face to American workers. How can anyone call themselves a Republican and still help move the Left’s pro-illegal-immigration scheme forward? These ten Republicans didn’t just betray their base—they handed Biden’s radical allies the keys to the country. Are they really so eager to please globalists that they’ll join forces with progressives every chance they get? Or do they just hope nobody is paying attention?
It’s not just about Haiti, either. Extending “temporary” protections for another three years is a joke—everyone knows there’s nothing temporary about it. Once these programs start, they never end. The swamp finds ways to keep people here forever, while American builders, nurses, and young families get pushed out of neighborhoods they’ve called home for generations. All so Democrats in D.C. can pat themselves on the back and talk about “compassion.” Where’s the compassion for legal immigrants? Where’s the compassion for the people who follow the rules?
There’s also a staggering amount of hypocrisy on display. The Left claims to care about the border, about jobs, and about fairness—except when it threatens their voter base or their globalist donors. Now, with a handful of weak-willed Republicans on board, they don’t even have to hide it anymore. It’s a free-for-all: amnesty from the highest levels, and citizens left holding the bill.
Enough is enough. Conservatives need to remember who they represent: American workers, American families, and the rule of law. If Republicans can’t be trusted to put their own country first, maybe it’s time for new leadership with a backbone. Why should Americans foot the bill for another Democrat open-borders scheme—just because a few Republicans felt like getting an invite to the next cocktail party in D.C.? Maybe instead of helping the Left score “victories”, these Republicans should help their own constituents for a change.
