It looks like the Democrats are scrambling once again to protect their own. With the shocking reports swirling around Eric Swalwell and accusations of sexual harassment and assault, it’s no surprise that the left is in full damage control mode. But what’s truly infuriating is how these so-called “progressives” love to lecture the rest of us about morals and standards, when so many of them can’t even clean up their own house.
Let’s talk about Sen. Ruben Gallego, the Arizona Democrat who’s become infamous for his cozy friendship with Swalwell. Funny how Gallego has been quick to attack conservatives over everything under the sun—but when things get ugly in his own circle, he’s suddenly nowhere to be found. Instead of calling for transparency and consequences, he’s dodging the spotlight, hoping this scandal will just fade away. Isn’t that what liberals always do when they get caught? Duck, cover, and blame someone else.
But America deserves better than this endless parade of double standards. When conservatives get accused—even if it’s just rumors—the mainstream media howls for months, “Trust the women! Accountability now!” But when Democrats are caught red-handed, the leftist press falls silent, or worse, starts making excuses. It’s the same tired, hypocritical game.
Republicans like Anna Paulina Luna aren’t letting the Democrats sweep this under the rug. Luna’s move to take these accusations to Senator Thune shows conservatives won’t rest until the truth comes out. Maybe it’s time Gallego and his pals stopped worrying more about their political futures and started thinking about actual victims—even when it makes Democrats look bad.
The American people are sick of liberal elites playing by their own rules and avoiding consequences. If Gallego and his crew think they can hide behind empty hashtags and righteous press releases, they’re in for a rude awakening. Maybe it’s finally time Swalwell’s best friend gets a good lawyer—because this smells like just the beginning. When will Democrats learn that what goes around, comes around?
