California has always loved to act like it holds the keys to America’s future. Unfortunately, the latest trend out of the Golden State is enough to make real patriots shake their heads. More and more voters there are ditching the major parties—choosing to call themselves “No Party Preference,” or NPP. It might sound like a bunch of harmless independents just fed up with politics, but let’s not get fooled. This is what happens after years of left-wing chaos, weak leadership, and identity politics shoved down everyone’s throats.
Let’s face it: Democrats have run the show in California for decades. What does the state have to show for it? A disaster. Sky-high crime, taxes through the roof, and an entire class of politicians who only care about globalist agendas instead of fixing the messes they’ve made. After watching liberal incompetence torch their pocketbooks and destroy their neighborhoods, who could really blame people for wanting out of the blue-red circus?
But here’s the problem. Walking away from the label doesn’t mean voters suddenly wake up as backbone conservatives. In fact, a lot of this NPP movement is just more squishy, middle-of-the-road nonsense. It’s the same old story—people want to feel “independent,” but deep down, they’ve been soaked in the same progressive ideology for far too long. It’s no wonder the left quietly cheers this trend. It lets them dodge responsibility while pretending the real problem is “polarization,” not their failed policies.
If California’s “independents” really had guts, they’d throw their weight behind real American values—faith, family, law and order. Instead, too many settle for being lukewarm fence-sitters. They’re not standing up to the left’s radical agenda; they’re just trying to check out while the ship sinks. This is exactly how the liberal elite want it—a state full of disengaged, demoralized citizens who feel powerless and alone.
At the end of the day, the rise of NPP isn’t about unity—it’s about running away from the battle for America’s soul. When will California’s voters finally get tired of the games and demand leaders who put America first? Or are they content to drift quietly into irrelevance while their state burns?
