For years, Americans have watched oil prices jump every time the world sneezes. The power switch of our entire economy is in the hands of foreign powers—countries that hate us, countries run by despots and religious extremists, countries that would love nothing more than to see America on its knees. When oil becomes uncertain, the whole planet panics. Families pay more to fill up their cars and heat their homes, while elites grumble from the back seats of their private jets.
Now, news breaks out that the United States has swung some kind of Strait of Hormuz agreement with Iran, and—surprise, surprise—oil prices nosedive. Let’s be clear: oil makes the world go ‘round. It’s in everything: energy, plastics, tech, your phone, even medicine. The second globalists start chattering about blocking up the world’s main oil highway, Wall Street melts down. But when Washington makes a deal with one of the planet’s most dangerous regimes, the bleeding stops. Is that really something to cheer about?
Liberals will crow that this “diplomacy” means peace and prosperity for all. But let’s not fool ourselves. Left-wing politicians are the first to spit hate at hardworking American oil companies and then the first to beg murderous Iranian tyrants for help. They’d rather put our destiny in the hands of mullahs than unleash our homegrown energy right here in America.
And why? Because the global elites don’t want American independence. They want endless climate rules, electric car mandates, and windmills that can’t keep up. Meanwhile, they keep cash flowing to nations that hate the West, rather than building pipelines and refineries that would actually give America real security.
Why are we still dancing for dictators on the other side of the world when we could be the energy powerhouse of freedom right here at home? Maybe it’s time to stop pleasing our enemies—and start showing America’s strength again.
