Los Angeles liberals never learn. Voters in LA already gave a clear message – they don’t want a radical Green New Deal forced on them. The people had a chance to say yes to these wild climate schemes, and they said no. Yet here comes Karen Bass, LA’s left-wing mayor, trying to shove the same failed policy back down everyone’s throat.
This new so-called climate plan is proof that the elites in charge don’t care what everyday people want. Instead, they bow to environmental activists and globalist interests. They think they know better than workers, parents, and small business owners who actually live in LA. It’s a slap in the face to democracy and a direct insult to LA taxpayers.
Karen Bass refuses to listen. She seems to believe that a massive government takeover, more rules, and higher costs will magically fix everything. Never mind that these “green” plans usually hurt the poorest communities the most. High gas prices, unreliable power, and job-killing regulations don’t bother her and her liberal friends. They can’t be bothered to think about struggling families who just want to keep the lights on.
The hypocrisy is staggering. Leftist politicians say they fight for the people, but keep pushing the same unpopular, big-government plans voters already rejected. This is about power, not the planet. How many times do LA voters have to say no before their so-called leaders finally get the message?
The left keeps acting like they’re saving the world, but all they’re really doing is ignoring the will of the people and wrecking our economy. How long before Los Angeles finally wakes up and puts the brakes on these costly, failed “green” fantasies once and for all?
