House shuts down Democrats desperate bid to strip Trump of power as Iran threat looms

The House just slammed the door on another pathetic attempt by the left to rip power from the President during a crucial time for America and our allies. By the slimmest of margins, lawmakers refused to pass a so-called war powers resolution that would have blocked President Trump from making the tough military calls we need right now. This wasn’t an accident or just politics as usual—this was Congress finally waking up and realizing that there’s zero time for political games when our troops and our security are on the line.

Let’s call it what it is: Democrats tried to kneecap the Commander-in-Chief right in the middle of a heated conflict with Iran. The radical wing of the House wanted to tie Trump’s hands, putting petty “resistance” ahead of American lives and our national interest. They didn’t care about winning; they cared about scoring cheap points with their woke, anti-military base. That’s been the left’s playbook for years—stop a Republican president from protecting America just because they can’t stand the man in the Oval Office.

Of course, these same Democrats bend over backwards when it’s their own handpicked globalist puppet calling the shots. The hypocrisy is almost too much to watch. Suddenly “checks and balances” evaporate when it’s a liberal starting pointless wars or lining the pockets of their defense contractor pals. Now, faced with real threats overseas, their instinct is to pull the rug out from under the only person actually standing up to America’s enemies.

Nobody wants war, but pretending Iran is some harmless friend is pure insanity. Our enemies watch every move we make. Cutting our military off at the knees now would show weakness and invite even greater danger—not just for our troops, but for every American family back home. That’s why responsible lawmakers, even some who usually hate standing with the President, stopped this nonsense in its tracks.

Washington’s left-wing elite may still be obsessed with scoring political points, but ordinary Americans see right through the charade. Maybe it’s time Congress started caring a little less about twisting the rules and a little more about defending this country. Or is protecting America “offensive” to liberals now, too?
