Her life, stolen in the most horrific way imaginable, right here in our own backyard.
Ask yourself: how did we get here? A killer like Horner gets his day in court while the innocent child never gets another chance at anything. The jury has to decide whether this monster deserves the death penalty or just a lifetime of free meals behind bars. Frankly, even this debate is a sign of how broken our justice system has become. Liberals argue that even the worst criminals deserve “mercy”—but where was the mercy for that little girl? The left twists itself into knots over the so-called rights of murderers, while law-abiding families get nothing but empty promises and heartbreak.
This tragedy isn’t just about one child’s pain. It’s about a culture that refuses to punish evil and instead coddles criminals. The liberal media and their globalist pals call for “restorative justice” and whine about the death penalty, handcuffing hardworking police at every turn. Texas may still stand strong on justice, but how long before the woke crowd demands that monsters like Horner get more leniency, more chances, more second and third acts? Look at the sickening reality: a family is left in ruins, a jury traumatized, and yet there will always be activists out there ready to downplay the horror—to excuse, to explain, to rationalize the evil rather than demand real consequences. The priorities of the radical left couldn’t be clearer—or more disgusting.
If our country can’t come together to protect our children and deliver the harshest punishment to those who hurt them, what does that say about us?
