Seattle used to stand as a proud example of American progress—clean streets, bustling businesses, and hardworking citizens. Now? The city is a cautionary tale for anyone foolish enough to think socialism fixes anything. Under socialist Mayor Katie Wilson, Seattle has plummeted straight into chaos. Walk down any main street and you’ll practically trip over endless homeless camps, their tents blocking sidewalks while trash, needles, and graffiti choke the city’s soul.
It’s not like this collapse happened overnight, but the radical left poured gasoline on a smoldering fire. Instead of getting tough and cleaning things up, the city’s socialist leaders have doubled down on failed policies that do nothing but encourage crime, addiction, and vagrancy. Where’s the accountability? Where’s the protection for law-abiding taxpayers who actually built this city?
Anyone who remembers Seattle just a few decades back knows the difference isn’t subtle—it’s shocking. In the 1980s, Seattle was a beacon of prosperity, industry, and community. This once-great city is barely recognizable now. What did socialism bring? More needles in the street, more lawlessness, and the slow death of local business. The so-called “compassionate” policies from the left have only made life miserable for people who play by the rules.
Liberals keep demanding more of your tax dollars to fund their reckless experiments. But what has it all accomplished? Homelessness is worse. Crime is up. Families are moving out. The only thing growing in Seattle is the size of its government and the piles of garbage littering the sidewalks. Meanwhile, globalist elites and far-left activists pat themselves on the back for “progress.” If letting people shoot up in plain sight, turning neighborhoods into open-air drug markets, and wrecking neighborhoods counts as progress, families everywhere should be terrified.
Seattle’s collapse is a warning for every American city flirting with socialism. Reality does not care about virtue signaling or hashtags. This is what happens when leftists put ideology above common sense and actual results. How many more great American cities have to fall before liberals stop pretending their failed policies are some sort of “justice”? Or is the destruction the point?
