The chaos in the Middle East, especially when Iran throws its weight around, isn’t just bad news for oil prices. It’s proof that California’s dependence on foreign oil is reckless and dangerous, never mind all those glossy promises about wind turbines and solar panels.
Liberals in Sacramento keep patting themselves on the back for killing off domestic oil and gas drilling, all while refusing to admit the truth. California still needs oil—lots of it. With their bans and taxes, they haven’t made oil go away; they’ve only killed off jobs here at home and forced us to rely on countries that hate us. While California politicians brag about “clean energy,” they quietly import millions of barrels every month from unstable regimes. Whose bright idea was it to hand over our energy security to Iran, Venezuela, and other anti-American foes?
The hypocrisy is stunning. California’s ruling elite claims their policies help the environment, but here’s the ugly reality: foreign oil producers aren’t following any green rules. Their drilling pollutes more than anything in Bakersfield or Long Beach ever did. So instead of cleaner energy, Californians get more expensive gas and dirtier air—along with the added bonus of bankrolling dictators and terrorists abroad.
This isn’t an accident; it’s the sad outcome of globalist dreams that make ordinary Americans pay the price. The “green transition” has become nothing but a slogan. Regular people in California are stuck dodging rolling blackouts, paying sky-high utility bills, and watching their hard-earned money head straight into the pockets of America’s enemies. Meanwhile, the fancy crowd in San Francisco or Sacramento shrugs it off, always convinced they know best.
How much more proof do we need? California has all the energy resources it needs right here at home. If the politicians cared about working families instead of chasing woke accolades, they’d put American jobs and security first. Why should Californians pay for the left’s green fantasies while our country gets weaker and our enemies get richer? It’s time for common sense to make a comeback.
