Democrat politicians just can’t help themselves. Instead of fixing the mess they’ve made at home, they hop on planes and head for Europe, eager for applause from their globalist friends. This time, it was Senator Chris Murphy, a familiar face for anyone who follows the Democrats’ radical wing. Murphy showed up in Spain, of all places, not to talk up America’s strengths, but to trash a former President—Donald Trump—on foreign soil.
There he was, surrounded by thousands of far-left activists and progressive elites from around the world. Instead of speaking up for American values, Murphy painted Trump as the bad guy, claiming he is part of some so-called global “fascist” movement. That’s right, folks: the senator couldn’t wait to tie Trump to every bogeyman the left imagines in their wildest dreams—openly blaming him for “democratic destruction” as if the real threat isn’t sitting right there on the stage with him.
But let’s not ignore another familiar name at this little get-together: Alex Soros, son of George Soros, kingpin of radical cash. The crowd was full of the usual suspects, there to plot out how to push their “progressive” agenda even further, no matter what the people back home actually want. They claim to be saving democracy, but their only real goal is more control—handed down from their ivory towers and rubber-stamped by their global allies.
Meanwhile, Americans are left picking up the pieces after years of Democrat mismanagement. Inflation is high, our borders are a mess, and crime is out of control. But Murphy doesn’t care. He’s in Spain, bashing a fellow American before a crowd of foreign activists, as if that’s going to help anyone in Connecticut, let alone the rest of the country. It’s almost like these left-wing politicians hate seeing a patriot stand strong, so they run to their international buddies every chance they get.
Instead of uniting the world, these summits just make it clearer how out of touch the left has become. Maybe next time, American politicians should focus on the country they were elected to serve, instead of selling it out for a few cheers in Barcelona. The question writes itself: Is loyalty to America just too much to ask from today’s Democrats?
