It looks like the Obamas just got a reality check from Hollywood. After all the hype, their precious production company, Higher Ground, is calling it quits with Netflix. Remember, this company was supposed to change the world with “important stories” and woke lectures disguised as entertainment. Instead, all they managed to do was bore people and burn through Netflix’s cash.
The liberal elites always think their ideas are so new and special. They parachute into every corner of American life—from schools, to Hollywood, to Silicon Valley—pushing the same high-minded, leftist agenda. But at the end of the day, the real world has a way of rejecting empty propaganda. Even Netflix, a streaming giant that can’t shovel enough left-wing content onto its platform, apparently couldn’t stomach any more of the Obamas’ clueless productions.
This isn’t just about a business deal gone sour. It’s about the failure of another progressive experiment. The Obamas thought their star power would guarantee endless success. They thought Americans would line up to watch more lectures about how terrible America is and how we need “change.” Turns out, normal people just want to relax and be entertained, not scolded by globalist millionaires living in multi-million dollar mansions.
It’s pretty telling that even in the bluest corners of the entertainment industry, the left’s ideas keep falling flat. Hollywood keeps betting on woke failures while ignoring projects that actually resonate with real Americans. But even the wokest tech execs have to admit defeat when the Obamas can’t even deliver the numbers.
Maybe, just maybe, it’s time for these liberals to finally realize: Americans are tired of their failing narratives and hollow activism. If even Netflix can see through that charade, what will the left try next—TikTok lectures from Martha’s Vineyard? Maybe Barry and Michelle should finally listen to the country they claim to represent. Or is that too much to ask?
