Top Democrat Runs From Congress After Ethics Scandal Erupts

Yet again, the Democrats’ so-called “moral high ground” crumbles under the weight of their own corruption. Democratic Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick from Florida is out of Congress, running for the exits before she could even face an expulsion vote. The reason? Ethics. Yes, the very thing Democrats like to scream about when attacking conservatives. This time, it’s their own who couldn’t follow the rules.

Instead of taking responsibility, what does Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick do? She blames the House Ethics Committee. You can’t make this stuff up. Liberals love to play the blame game. When caught breaking the rules, they suddenly become the victims. The establishment is always out to get them, or so they say—never mind their own actions that led to scandal in the first place.

The truth here is simple: Democrats talk a big game about transparency and ethics, but their track record tells a different story. Whenever one of their own gets caught, the finger-pointing goes into overdrive. Americans are supposed to trust this party with the future of our children, our safety, and our freedom? Give me a break.

And let’s talk about accountability. The left only cares about it when they can use it against their opponents. When their own get caught, it’s all excuses and crocodile tears. Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick’s resignation is just another chapter in the never-ending book of liberal hypocrisy.

Maybe if Democrats actually focused on serving the people instead of pushing globalist agendas and trampling over American values, their own members wouldn’t keep getting tangled up in these messes. But that’s wishful thinking. The big question for Florida—and for all of America—is: how many more of these scandals do we have to stomach before voters finally wake up?
