How California’s green rules turned gas prices into a nightmare for working families

California’s leaders love to blame everyone but themselves when their radical policies crash and burn. Right now, they’re trying to spin a wild story about gas prices—saying it’s all about international markets and greedy oil companies. But here’s the truth: California’s Democrats created their own energy crisis, and their “green” experiments are making life harder for every hardworking family.

Instead of unleashing American energy, California ties itself down with insane environmental rules. These aren’t just little tweaks—they’re drastic and punishing. The state slaps on special gasoline blends, layers on bizarre restrictions, and then wonders aloud why no other state’s gas is so expensive. It’s like banning forks and complaining about how hard it is to eat!

When you add taxes, fees, and billions spent on useless wind and solar boondoggles, the price at the pump shoots through the roof. While leftist politicians claim it’s all about “saving the planet,” regular citizens suffer. Truckers, parents driving to work, farmers—everyone pays the price for these utopian fantasies. But does the Sacramento elite care? Not a chance. Many roll around in electric cars and live nowhere near the neighborhoods getting hammered by soaring costs.

California actually ships its own oil overseas, buys back dirty foreign oil, and still tells us they’re “environmental leaders.” What a joke! They force refineries to close, block pipelines, and then turn around and whine when there’s a shortage. It’s pure hypocrisy. While American families struggle, globalist interests and wealthy climate activists cash in and pat themselves on the back.

These self-made crises are spreading. Once “progressive” ideas take root, freedom and prosperity wither. It’s always the same pattern: choke off competition, force everyone into government-approved boxes, and blame the rest of the country when it fails. Truth is, California is a warning sign for the whole nation.

How much more proof do Americans need that big-government schemes and climate cult hysteria leave working people stranded? Maybe it’s time to stop buying what the California left is selling—and start standing up for real American energy independence.
