Minnesota’s governor, Tim Walz, has just served up another shocking reminder of where the modern Democratic Party’s priorities really lie. Despite mounting scandals and obvious embarrassment, Walz thought it was acceptable to be seen rubbing elbows with a disgraced attorney who was kicked to the curb for sexually harassing male employees. This is the kind of “leadership” liberals are pushing these days—sickening, self-serving, and utterly out of touch with the people they’re supposed to represent.
Let’s not pretend for a second that this was a random photo op gone wrong. Walz knows exactly who he’s associating with—an attorney whose predatory actions would’ve been blasted across every mainstream outlet if he were a Republican. But since he’s part of the club, the Democrats pretend nothing’s wrong. They have one set of rules for conservatives, another for themselves. From the Biden White House to local governors’ mansions, it’s the same tired old playbook. Protect their own, no matter the cost.
And how about some honesty from the progressive crowd? They love to parade around as champions of “accountability” and “safety” until one of their own gets caught. Suddenly, the outrage machine goes silent. Meanwhile, real victims are left behind, and the people of Minnesota are once again forced to watch their governor cozy up with the kind of people decent Americans would never trust.
Tim Walz has already admitted he’s not seeking re-election. Maybe he realizes he’s become an embarrassment even to his own party. But his actions speak louder than any canned press release. Instead of fighting for his state’s future, he’s hanging out with cronies who make a mockery of ethics and decency.
This is what happens when Democrats think nobody’s watching. But they’re wrong—Americans see the double standards, the hypocrisy, and the utter lack of leadership. Is it any wonder people are fed up with politicians who preach about values while breaking their own rules behind closed doors? Maybe the left should start holding themselves to the standards they demand of everyone else. Until then, don’t expect the American people to forget—or forgive.
