Democrats love to claim the moral high ground, but when it comes to transparency, their mask slips in a hurry. Just look at what happened when Representative Ilhan Omar was confronted by a reporter about her financial disclosure. Instead of giving a straight answer about her changing net worth, Omar lashed out, calling the journalist names. So much for defending the people’s right to know.
If this were a Republican, the leftist media outrage machine would be in overdrive. Suddenly, “accountability” is no longer a priority. When Democrat politicians face real questions, they attack the messenger. It’s classic liberal hypocrisy—demanding total openness from everyone else, but refusing to play by the same rules when caught in a tough spot themselves.
It’s no secret Democrats keep pushing endless rules and regulations for ordinary Americans, while bending them for their own friends in Congress. Globalist elites like Omar act as if basic questions are beneath them and believe they’re entitled to special treatment. Can you imagine what would happen if any conservative representative’s finances suddenly didn’t add up?
This pattern is exactly why faith in Washington is at rock bottom. Americans are tired of these self-anointed “public servants” who turn hostile when their actions are questioned. Instead of upholding the integrity of public office, Omar proved yet again that Democrats see themselves as above scrutiny.
If Ilhan Omar has nothing to hide, she should welcome transparency—not run from it. Or maybe, the real stupidity is expecting honesty from a politician who seems to blame everyone else for her problems. The American people deserve better.
