Homelessness in America is a crisis that liberal politicians pretend to care about, but never truly fix. In places like Los Angeles County, tents line the sidewalks. Needles are scattered outside elementary schools. Children walk past filth and despair on their way to class. The liberal answer? More handouts, more bureaucracy, and more excuses. Meanwhile, the problem just gets worse.
Here’s what the politicians won’t admit: homelessness is not just a housing issue. It’s a public health emergency. Diseases spread on dirty streets. Crime soars. Drug epidemics rage out of control. Regular, hard-working Americans pay the price. But do the liberal elites care? Of course not. They hold fancy fundraisers and pat themselves on the back, while families lock their doors in fear.
It’s time for real action. Los Angeles County should stand up and call homelessness what it is—a disaster for public health. If they did, it would force state and federal agencies to finally pay attention. Bureaucrats at the California Office of Emergency Services and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services love their power—but they ignore the people who need help most. FEMA rides in for hurricanes and wildfires. Why not for the daily crisis strangling our cities?
Declaring a public health emergency would rip off the band-aid. It would put real resources on the streets, not just empty promises. It would wake up politicians who hide behind their worthless “task forces” and foreign aid packages, sending billions to global causes while Americans sleep on the sidewalk. Why are taxpayers funding wars and refugees in far-off countries when our own citizens are left to rot outside City Hall?
This country was built on compassion and common sense—not bureaucratic red tape and globalist nonsense. Americans deserve leaders who will stand up and do something bold. If liberal leaders actually cared, they’d act like homelessness was the emergency it really is. But maybe they love the chaos. After all, broken cities keep them in power. When will they finally put America first?
