Maryland used to stand for American grit. But now, it’s turning into “California on the Chesapeake”—and the people who once boasted deep roots in the Old Line State are running for the hills. And who can blame them? When even top prosecutors are heading for the exits, you know something is rotten under the blue-rule regime.
Let’s face it, liberals have strangled beautiful Maryland with the same failed policies you see crumbling the West Coast. Instead of upholding law and order, the powers that be are pushing soft-on-crime nonsense, letting violent criminals walk free while law-abiding families pay the price. It’s no accident that residents—from Baltimore’s once-bustling suburbs on out—are packing up and leaving this sinking ship. Even those with famous family names, American pioneers like the Carrolls, are saying enough is enough. If the folks who built Maryland don’t feel safe or welcome, what does that say about who’s really in charge?
Progressive bureaucrats and their activist allies are obsessed with turning Maryland into their utopia, but all they deliver is sky-high taxes, failing schools, and neighborhoods plagued by violence. And don’t think the “globalist” crowd minds it—their kids don’t have to live with the consequences. The only people getting protected are the criminals, not the honest men and women clinging to what’s left of the American dream. For working people, for parents, and for anyone with common sense, these policies are a disaster.
The hypocrisy couldn’t be more shameless. Liberals tell us their way is “compassionate,” but what’s compassionate about turning whole cities into no-go zones? They preach equality while abandoning neighborhoods to chaos. They claim to care about community, yet drive away old families who gave Maryland its soul. California’s worst ideas have crossed the country, and now the so-called leaders aren’t sticking around to clean up the mess.
How much more of this anti-American insanity can regular Marylanders take? If the best and brightest are bolting, what hope is left for a state run by failed blue-state ideology? Maybe the better question is: Will anyone be left to turn out the lights when the last taxpayer finally leaves?
