Taxpayers set to bail out Spirit Airlines again while Washington rewards failure and punishes success

Yet again, Washington is running to the rescue of big business that can’t get its act together. This time, it’s Spirit Airlines begging for help. Let’s be honest: when a company like Spirit fails, it’s not the taxpayer’s problem. But in Joe Biden’s America, every flop is treated like a national crisis, and Uncle Sam just loves to throw our hard-earned cash at losers.

Here’s the ugly truth: Spirit Airlines has been on a crash course for years. Bad management, lousy service, and endless complaints — what did anyone expect? If any airline deserves to go belly up, it’s Spirit. The free market is supposed to pick winners and weed out the weak. Instead, liberal politicians want to reward failure, just so they can feel good about “saving jobs.” That’s not patriotism — that’s embarrassing mismanagement.

Who gets punished? The successful airlines that play by the rules, and everyday Americans who have to foot the bill. When Washington bails out Spirit, it sends a rotten message: if you fail big enough, you’ll get a handout. It’s socialism for the airlines, plain and simple. Meanwhile, families, small businesses, and taxpayers are left holding the bag. Is that the American dream, or a globalist nightmare?

And let’s not ignore the hypocrisy. The same crowd pushing for “accountability” in the private sector flips faster than a pancake when their buddies need a bailout. Suddenly, basic economics goes out the window. No talk of free markets, just government checks and backroom deals. The left claims to defend the little guy, but every time they “help,” the little guy gets stuck with the tab.

America was built by people who took risks and faced consequences. Washington needs to remember that. Spirit failing isn’t a disaster. It’s market justice. Maybe instead of bailing out every failed company, we should let the free market work and start expecting more from the people in charge. Or do liberals only believe in capitalism when things go their way?
