Liberals want your tax dollars to pay for rotisserie chickens for SNAP recipients

Liberals are at it again, desperately trying to turn America’s safety nets into silver spoons. This time, they’re pushing to let SNAP recipients use taxpayer dollars to buy freshly-cooked rotisserie chickens. A hot dinner on someone else’s dime—just what every overburdened working family wants to hear. It’s not enough that SNAP already pays for sodas and candy. Now, apparently, struggling families lucky enough to be scraping by need to watch folks roll out of the grocery store with steaming chickens, all courtesy of Uncle Sam.

Advocates claim this is about helping the poor. Get real. SNAP was designed as emergency help, not as a lifestyle upgrade. It’s for families in genuine need who can’t put food on the table, not for people collecting government checks to feast on convenience meals and treats every night. Most hard-working Americans, especially those paying into this system, can’t afford steak and ready-made dinners for themselves. Now, thanks to liberal policies, they’re being forced to pick up the tab for others who eat even better.

And let’s be honest—it never stops with one exception. Letting rotisserie chickens slide means every hot food counter is open season. Why not mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, or chicken wings next? Where does it end? Suddenly, the government isn’t just paying for groceries; it’s running a restaurant. If there are people who really need a meal, they can whip up a chicken at home. Most SNAP recipients aren’t clocking 60-hour weeks, so don’t buy the argument that there’s no time to cook. Baking chicken isn’t rocket science; it just takes some patience—something liberal policymakers clearly lack.

The American people have had enough. Social media is overflowing with anger from folks who see SNAP abuse every day—people bragging online about using their benefits to buy steak and lobster while taxpayers are forced to choose between essentials. It’s infuriating, and it’s why so many are sick of hearing about how “easy” life should be for SNAP recipients. The real injustice is how hard working families struggle while bureaucrats keep inventing new ways to hand out perks with other people’s money.

Let’s not forget the economic reality. Hot chicken might only cost five bucks at some stores right now, but throw government subsidies at it and watch prices soar. Just look at what’s already happening with junk food prices. Taxpayers are footing a bloated bill, while companies cash in and regular voters get squeezed yet again. It’s a slap in the face—another reminder that in Joe Biden’s America, those who work hard play by the rules, and those who don’t get rewarded.

Who needs a hand up when you can get a handout with a side of mashed potatoes and a soda? Maybe it’s time to ask the folks running this country if they’re cooking up solutions—or just cooking the books.
