The order to cancel the Witkoff-Kushner trip to Islamabad sent a loud, clear message to the world—America is no longer interested in wasting time and resources sitting around tables with bad actors and incompetent foreign leaders.
For far too long, D.C.’s foreign policy elites have insisted on endless meetings, hoping to figure out how to “save face” or “manage decline.” Trump knows better. He sees these theatrics for what they are—stalling tactics by foreign powers like Iran and Pakistan, who want to bleed America dry while they play both sides. These “negotiators,” paraded around as if they’re solving global problems, have only made things worse. All the chitchat in fancy hotels hasn’t stopped Iran from trampling over ceasefire deals or rogue regimes from stirring up trouble.
Trump’s decision is a big slap to the professional diplomats and the liberal globalists who love calling endless summits “progress.” When liberal bureaucrats talk about “building bridges,” it usually means taxpayers get stuck with the bill and America looks weak. Conservatives aren’t fooled. Every time liberals talk, nothing gets done. And whenever push comes to shove, it’s always America’s interests that are sacrificed at the altar of international “understanding.”
The country is sick of politicians who care more about cocktail parties in Islamabad than about defending American values. Trump’s move shows the world the “America First” agenda is not just a slogan—it’s real policy. No more games, no more distractions. If foreign leaders want to work with America, they need to show real action, not empty words.
Maybe it’s finally time for the Biden regime to take notes.
