Democrats and their media buddies can scream all they want about “protecting democracy,” but when it’s time to safeguard the very foundations of our elections, suddenly they run for the hills. That’s what’s happening right now as President Trump calls out the U.S. Senate to pass the SAVE Act—a bill that does something only common sense would demand: Make sure voters prove they’re U.S. citizens before they can decide who runs this country.
This isn’t some wild right-wing fantasy. The House has already done its job and passed the bill, but it’s the Senate where good ideas go to die. Why? Because the left knows their grip on power depends on weak voting laws. They’re terrified that if Americans actually had to show proof of citizenship—just like you show an ID to buy cough medicine or board a plane—their whole game would unravel. Democrats love to holler about “voter suppression,” but all they’re really scared of is losing their open-door, free-for-all voting circus.
Here’s the kicker: Even some Republicans are showing their true D.C. Swamp colors by refusing to stand with Trump and the American people. Sens. Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Mitch McConnell, and Thom Tillis have all turned their backs on election security. That’s the kind of betrayal you’d expect from leftists and their globalist mouthpieces—not from so-called conservatives. The American public deserves better than weak-kneed politicians who care more about CNN headlines than our sovereignty.
Of course, the filibuster is the left’s favorite shield. They hide behind these broken old rules, refusing to even debate the SAVE Act, simply because they know it embarrasses their open-border, every-vote-counts-even-if-it’s-illegal agenda. Republicans outnumber Democrats in the Senate, but the filibuster means nothing gets done unless a supermajority says yes. The liberals love that. It keeps the status quo alive. Why fix elections when confusing, chaotic, and compromised helps them keep their seats?
Let’s call this what it is: The Democrat Party is terrified of actual Americans having a fair say. They’re terrified that if illegal votes disappear, so will their stranglehold on Washington. While they screech about “fairness,” they fight basic voter ID. Meanwhile, everyday Americans are stuck with a system that rewards fraud and punishes honesty. Why are liberals so allergic to election integrity? Maybe they’re scared of what would happen if the rules finally applied to everyone.
When will Washington stop coddling the chaos and start protecting America? The answer is clear: Only when we demand it—loudly, relentlessly, and with every vote we cast.
