For years, Americans have watched left-wing elites scream about “gerrymandering”—except, of course, when it helps their own party. The hypocrisy couldn’t be more obvious. California, the golden state and the crown jewel of progressive fantasies, rolled out its so-called Citizens Redistricting Commission with promises of fairness and balance. They bragged about ordinary citizens drawing the lines, not politicians or their cronies. But let’s be honest—does anyone really believe that these hand-picked “ordinary citizens” somehow represent the real diversity and values of California? Or were they just another tool for the liberal machine to keep their grip on power?
Liberals pretend they care about making elections fair. But when you peel back the glossy rhetoric, their real goal is plain: stack the deck and crush conservative voices. They love to say their redistricting plans have equal numbers of Democrats and Republicans. But we all know how that plays out in the end. Just look at the results. After each redistricting round, Democrats miraculously hold onto their super-majorities, while Republicans get squeezed out. It’s hard to call that “democracy.” It looks more like rigged theater.
The founders never meant for special commissions and unelected bureaucrats to decide who wins and loses in America. That’s the game globalists love to play—take power away from the people and hand it to panels packed with insiders. And let’s not forget, the left’s obsession with ethnic breakdowns and quotas always feeds into identity politics, chopping up communities just to create new “safe” seats for liberals to win. They claim it’s about fairness, but it’s really about locking up power forever. Is this the American way?
Meanwhile, Virginia and other states get pressured to follow the California playbook, treating it like some miracle fix. But when the left gets their way, “independent” commissions turn into rubber stamps for whatever scheme helps Democrats. They talk about ending “partisan politics,” while they quietly redraw maps to make sure their buddies and donors stay fat and happy. Regular folks who want their vote to count just get left behind.
Enough of the smoke and mirrors. If liberals really believed in honest elections, they’d call out their own side’s dirty tricks in California, not just complain about Republicans in Texas. America’s elections shouldn’t be a playground for shady panels or backroom deals. The only “ceasefire” this country needs is one that puts We The People back in charge—no more leftist games, no more fake fairness. If Democrats are so confident, why are they always trying to change the rules?
