White House Dinner Shooting Exposes Elite Hypocrisy on Gun Control

There’s no such thing as a safe space—not even for the media elites who love to lecture everyday Americans on guns and security. This weekend’s wild scene at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner proves it, as a shooter managed to rush past event security and fire a shot directly at a Secret Service agent. Even with all the metal detectors, guards, and high-tech gadgets liberals clamor for, violence still walked right through the door.

This is exactly what happens when the left’s so-called “protective measures” put on a show but fail to deliver results. The same crowd that insists hardworking Americans should give up their Second Amendment rights can’t keep their own parties safe from armed maniacs. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time they realized criminals don’t care about laws, rules, or fancy equipment. The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun—like that brave Secret Service agent who was put in harm’s way because of bureaucratic incompetence.

It’s hard not to laugh at the hypocrisy. The liberal media loves to paint conservatives as paranoid or extreme for wanting secure borders and strong policing, but when their cocktail party turns chaotic, suddenly they rely on the very “hard security” they pretend to hate. Of course, they’ll probably try to spin this disaster as another reason to “crack down” on law-abiding Americans, while refusing to admit their globalist policies leave us all less safe.

And let’s not forget the awkward silence from those same pundits who spend all year mocking the idea of self-defense. Will any of them actually acknowledge that their magical “weapons-free” zones are nothing but open invitations for dangerous people to create chaos? Don’t hold your breath waiting.

If this isn’t a perfect example of liberal priorities backfiring, what is? Maybe it’s time our so-called leaders stopped preaching and started protecting. If the liberal elite can’t even safeguard their own glittering dinners, why should the country trust them with anyone’s safety at all?
