Alaska isn’t for the faint of heart, and this week proves it once again. While the lower 48 wring their hands over “safe spaces” and talk endlessly about feelings, real Americans are dealing with real problems—problems liberals love to pretend don’t exist. Up north, things got cold, wet, and ugly. One story will break your heart. The other will make you shake your head at just how clueless some criminals are.
First, the dogs. These aren’t just pets up here—they’re family, work partners, and sometimes lifesavers. When something bad happens to them, it hits harder than any leftist Twitter rant about climate justice. But you won’t hear mainstream city reporters talk about this kind of suffering. They’re too busy crying over pronouns and pushing vegan diets.
And of course, no Alaska roundup would be complete without a criminal so stupid, even the Democrats would be embarrassed to call him one of their own. Let’s just say, some folks make choices dumber than defunding the police. This particular crook made it clear: if you break the law in the Last Frontier, you better have more brains than a Biden press secretary.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how the left has failed communities like these. While Washington elites funnel tax money to far-away “causes,” Americans in Alaska face heartbreak and crime head-on. The swamp is more interested in sending billions to foreign countries than helping their own citizens keep safe and look after what matters—like the animals that keep our culture strong.
So while liberals and their big-city media friends play make-believe, the rest of us pick up the pieces. Maybe instead of talking equity and diversity, the left should try common sense, hard work, or—imagine this—a little compassion that actually matters. Should we really be surprised by sad stories and dumb crooks when we’ve let America’s values be trashed for so long?
