Democrats are at it again—pulling the rug out from under Virginia voters with one of the slipperiest redistricting plots this country’s seen in years. This week, the state’s Supreme Court is being forced to clean up the mess liberals tried to sneak through. It’s laughable that the left insists their plan was about “fairness.” Anyone with a pulse can see what’s really happening: they want to tilt the map and lock Republicans out for good.
Let’s be clear—this referendum barely passed, and the second it did, a judge slammed the brakes, calling the entire scam unconstitutional. The whole operation stinks. They jammed it into a special session and muddied the ballot language so normal people wouldn’t know what they were voting for. That isn’t democracy. That’s back-alley politics, pure and simple.
Who stands to lose in all of this? Everyday Virginians—especially conservative ones. Democrats are itching to turn one of the most balanced congressional maps in the nation into a cartoonishly gerrymandered mess. The current delegation stands at 6 Democrats to 5 Republicans—a fair fight. But if the left gets its way, they’ll snag 10 seats and leave Republicans with scraps. That’s outrageous, and it’s not what voters deserve.
Of course, liberals will howl about “resisting Trump” and protecting communities. Don’t buy it. This is about raw political power, nothing else. In their rush to rig the rules, Democrats are trampling state law and ignoring basic fairness. Meanwhile, Virginia’s conservative leaders aren’t backing down. They’re standing up for what’s right, and real Virginians should be standing with them.
The future of Virginia—and maybe national politics—hangs in the balance. Will liberal elites get away with stacking the deck, or will the court finally slam the door on their games? Americans everywhere should be watching, taking notes, and remembering exactly who tried to silence their voices. If these are the “values” Democrats bring to the table, is it any wonder voters are fed up with their hypocrisy?
