The nation watched in horror as news broke about a brazen attack at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner—yet again proving just how fragile our security has become under the current left-wing regime. This wasn’t just some unhinged guest gone rogue. Cole Allen, the man now in federal custody, reportedly plotted to take out President Trump and his top Cabinet officials right at the heart of what liberals love to call their “free press” celebration. This is an outright assault on our democracy, and it’s proof that radical threats now lurk even in the elite DC cocktail circuit.
While Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has finally stepped up and announced the prosecution, one can’t help but wonder—how on earth did Allen get this close? The same bureaucrats who spend years obsessing about “Russian interference” utterly failed to see the real, homegrown danger right under their noses. Maybe if they’d been less worried about policing conservative speech and more invested in actual law enforcement, a would-be assassin wouldn’t have found a golden opportunity.
But should Americans really be surprised? The Democrats and their media lackeys have spent years downplaying violence against anyone wearing a MAGA hat. They brand Trump supporters as threats at every turn, while ignoring or excusing the unhinged leftists burning cities or menacing conservatives. Suddenly, when the President himself becomes the target, the liberal class tries to act shocked and appalled. The hypocrisy is staggering.
Of course, now the DOJ wants to parade around like heroes. After utterly bungling their duty to protect our leaders, they now act tough, promising a “journey of accountability.” This is rich, coming from the same Justice Department that’s been too busy hunting parents at school board meetings and covering for Biden family corruption to do its real job. Americans are right to be skeptical. Will there be actual consequences, or will this be yet another D.C. slap on the wrist?
No more excuses. It’s past time for liberals to admit their soft approach to crime has put the whole country in danger. If the government can’t protect the president at a high-profile event filled with media elites, how can they possibly protect the rest of us? The question every real American should be asking: just how deep is the rot in Washington, and who will finally clean house?
