Democrats love to say they care about free speech. But the moment they get scared, they’re ready to shred the Constitution and silence anyone who dares disagree. Just look at what happened after the D.C. shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Instead of standing up for our basic freedoms, Democrats are falling all over themselves to blame social media—a sneaky way to get their hands on the censorship lever.
A left-wing teacher from California hopped on a train to D.C. with one mission: target Trump officials. In his twisted manifesto, he parroted the same hate-filled smears you hear from CNN every night. But instead of cooling their hateful rhetoric, the liberal talking heads jumped right into their favorite routine: Never let a crisis go to waste.
Enter Eugene Vindman, hungry for attention and political power. He used the tragedy to demand “regulation” of social media, claiming platforms have to be “held accountable.” If you listen close, that’s just liberal-speak for “let’s shut up the people we don’t like.” The media played along, asking softball questions and drooling at the thought of putting Big Tech under the government’s thumb. They want Twitter, Facebook, and every other platform to serve as tools for leftist thought police—not as spaces for real Americans to say what they believe.
The Left only wants “tough new laws” when it helps their agenda. When a conservative gets censored or threatened, they shrug it off. But if one of their own does something terrible, suddenly it’s because conservatives have “too much freedom.” What happened to personal responsibility? When will the media ask why Democrat leaders spend every day demonizing Republicans and calling them evil? Maybe all that venom is what drives unstable people to the edge—but don’t expect any “reckoning” for their side. No, for the Democrats, every crisis is just another excuse to clamp down on the freedoms that keep this country strong.
Don’t be fooled: “better regulation” means less speech for conservatives. And you know what comes after they shut down our voices? They come for our guns, too. The radical Left wants nothing more than a country where only their opinions are allowed and the Second Amendment is a distant memory.
Americans aren’t stupid, and we’re not going to let out-of-touch politicians rewrite the Constitution because they’re scared of hearing the truth. If Democrats get their way, will anyone be allowed to speak their mind? Or will we all need permission from Eugene Vindman just to post online?
