Is anyone even surprised anymore when chaos strikes the Persian Gulf? It’s almost like clockwork now. This week, the Islamic Republic suddenly claims it’s ready to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. That’s right—the same rogue regime that loves playing chicken with the world’s oil supply is now pretending to be a trustworthy gatekeeper. Liberals want to trust these bad actors, but conservatives know better. Whenever Tehran “offers” to play nice, you have to be ready for the sucker punch.
Just as our so-called global partners are patting themselves on the back for a job well done, another bombshell drops: OPEC’s number three oil producer is walking away from the price-fixing circus. That’s a huge slap in the face to the international elites who think they can control everything from Brussels boardrooms. For years, OPEC has bullied the free market and thumbed its nose at the American worker, while Democrats twiddled their thumbs and let our energy jobs evaporate.
Meanwhile, the geniuses in Washington keep pushing for green pipe dreams and bowing to foreign interests. When Middle Eastern regimes pull these stunts, it should be a wake-up call. Instead, the left spits out the same old spin: “Everything is fine, just trust the experts!” But when these experts are proven wrong week after week, who pays the price? Everyday Americans, pumping overpriced gas and getting the runaround from politicians who care more about the Paris Agreement than our backyard.
It’s hard not to notice who really benefits when the Persian Gulf is a mess. Globalist fat cats and authoritarian regimes get rich. Meanwhile, the left blames everything on “unruly markets” or “right-wing scare tactics.” What they don’t admit is that their spineless policies keep us forever at the mercy of foreign chaos. While liberals wring their hands and beg for international consensus, America is left vulnerable, again and again.
Maybe it’s finally time to get serious about real energy independence. Stop letting Iran hold us hostage. Stop bowing to OPEC’s games. Bring the jobs—and the power—back to American soil. Or is it easier for liberals to just blame conservatives than to accept the truth?
