Governor Kathy Hochul just proved what New Yorkers already suspected: her so-called concern for “affordability” is nothing but election-year theater. Suddenly, she wants to delay those brutal climate law deadlines that threaten to send energy prices through the roof. Funny how Democrats only remember hardworking families when their own jobs are on the line.
These radical green schemes, cooked up by Albany elites and their globalist pals, are designed to force everyday Americans into paying more for heat, electricity, and gas. Hochul knows it. The lawmakers know it. But instead of scrapping the failed plan, she wants to buy time—hoping voters forget who brought the pain in the first place.
Make no mistake. Hochul isn’t stopping the climate freight train. She’s just slowing it down to avoid a political wreck at the polls. The livelihoods of regular New Yorkers? Just a bargaining chip for her own political survival. Once reelected, expect the rollback to evaporate faster than a politician’s promise after election day.
If these climate extremists truly cared about affordability, they’d toss their costly mandates in the trash and listen to the real voices of New York—the workers, small business owners, and parents already squeezed by taxes and inflation. But Democrats are too busy cozying up to woke climate activists and international bureaucrats pushing a global agenda far removed from American reality.
How much longer will New York put up with leaders who gamble with their wallets just to please radical ideologues? Hochul’s little delay stunt fools no one—it only proves she’s more interested in her career than in protecting her own people. Why should families foot the bill for her political games?
