The so-called media “elites” never fail to show how out of touch they are with ordinary Americans. Just look at the circus after the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, where shots rang out and panic spread like wildfire. Instead of honesty or real accountability, the left-leaning press melted down—finger-pointing, shrieking about blame, and tossing out excuses faster than CNN cancels a conservative. It’s like they live in an alternate universe, where they can never be wrong.
But it doesn’t end there. An Obama-era official and longtime media insider managed to take things even further off the rails. While real Americans are worried about security, this self-important insider made a bizarre comment about the new White House ballroom. It’s almost like the liberals are more interested in fancy venues and photo ops than keeping anyone safe.
You’d think after a shooting event, the focus would be on safety, competence, and maybe a little responsibility. But no, the media crowd is more interested in defending each other, excusing failures, and rearranging the deck chairs at their glitzy gatherings. It’s classic liberal incompetence: spend a fortune on fancier spaces, then act shocked when things spiral out of control.
If a Republican administration had fumbled security at such a high-profile event, the papers would scream for heads to roll. But because it’s their own club—packed with Democrat darlings and entrenched globalists—they just make jokes, distract, and move on like nothing happened. This isn’t journalism. It’s self-preservation, pure and simple.
America deserves leaders—and a press—that actually care about public safety, not just about their own cocktail parties and elitist ballrooms. Maybe if the liberal establishment spent less time obsessing over their next gala and more time doing their jobs, things wouldn’t keep spiraling into chaos. But then again, since when do the ruling class ever put Americans first?
