Tomescu, just 22, wasn’t acting alone. With a crew of fellow aliens, she pulled off a wide-reaching plan to skim electronic benefit transfer cards from states coast-to-coast. This wasn’t petty theft—this was organized crime targeting taxpayer-funded help for the poor. These criminals used skimming devices and phony identities to drain accounts and splurge on bulk goods, acting as if America were their personal ATM. All the while, Democrat lawmakers in sanctuary cities roll out the red carpet for lawbreakers who view our generosity as weakness.
The facts are stomach-churning. In just one state, the ring ripped off more than $340,000. Tomescu herself went on a shopping spree using a stolen EBT account, dropping nearly a thousand bucks on energy drinks in a single visit—all while families went hungry. At least 15 real Americans lost access to their food money and couldn’t buy basics for their families for weeks. Liberals talk a big game about compassion, but their endless open-border madness ends up hurting needy citizens most.
If that weren’t enough, Tomescu piled on more fraud—opening bank accounts with fake IDs, pocketing church donations, and even lying to police with a bogus Italian license. It’s the same old playbook: cross the border, break our laws, and expect little real consequence. And what do law-abiding Americans get?
