Seattle elite flee as woke policies shut down iconic skyscraper club and spark citywide chaos

Seattle has become the poster child for what happens when you put radical leftists in charge. The latest proof? One of the city’s famous elite skyscraper clubs is shutting down its doors. That’s what happens when you elect politicians who care more about virtue signaling and woke talking points than about making their city thrive. Businesses are fleeing, crime is through the roof, and now even the city’s so-called “elite” aren’t sticking around to toast cocktails above the chaos.

It didn’t have to be this way. For years, Seattle was bursting with growth and energy—a hub for hard work, innovation, and people building the American dream. Then the city put its future in the hands of a clueless “democratic socialist” mayor, someone who’s never run a business or had to meet a payroll in her life. It’s not rocket science: when you pick activists over business leaders, you get activism, not results.

Left-wing policies have turned Seattle into ground zero for the failed experiment of progressive urban rule. It’s clear that the folks in charge have never faced the consequences of their own decisions. Working class families are fleeing, businesses are locking up, and the city that used to shine with promise now looks more like a poster for government failure. What did Seattle’s liberal elite expect when they voted for politicians who demonize success, coddle criminals, and attack business at every turn?

The hypocrisy is as thick as the smog. The same people who crow about justice and equality spent years sipping champagne high above the mess they helped create. When things go south, they’re the first out the door, leaving working families to pick up the pieces. Liberals love to talk about “community” until it’s time to actually take responsibility for ruining one.

If Seattle wants to fix its mess, it needs less socialism and more common sense—the kind the left abandoned long ago. Is anyone really surprised that the city is falling apart when it’s run by people who think work is a dirty word and success is something to punish? Maybe next time, Seattle will remember that you can’t tax, spend, and protest your way into prosperity.
