Democrat Calls Governor Abbott a DEI Hire and Texans Are Furious

It’s hard to believe the lengths some Democrats will go to, just to score cheap political points and push their agenda. Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett just called Governor Greg Abbott a “DEI hire” simply because he uses a wheelchair. Yes, you read that right—the Governor of Texas, a man who’s spent years serving his state and country, is being reduced to a diversity box to check. That’s how little the left seems to actually respect real people.

Let’s get one thing straight: Governor Abbott wasn’t picked for his physical condition. He earned his position through grit, leadership, and conservative values. Calling him a “DEI hire” is beyond disrespectful. It exposes the hypocrisy of the left, who talk a big game about equality but never miss a chance to belittle someone they disagree with.

What’s worse, this is their own “diversity” agenda turned inside out. They claim to champion people with disabilities—but apparently, only if their ideas fit the Democrat talking points. When Abbott rolls onto the scene with bold conservative policies, suddenly his disability isn’t progress—it’s an insult. This isn’t just nasty; it’s anti-American. We honor people for their merit, not for checking some woke bureaucratic box.

Liberal incompetence strikes again. Instead of debating real issues, Rep. Crockett took a low blow for attention. Maybe she can’t argue against Governor Abbott’s results as governor—jobs, growth, safe borders—so she resorts to playground insults. It’s what happens every time the left runs out of facts.

Globalists and leftists want Americans thinking only their kind can lead. That’s not the country most of us know. It’s pathetic, divisive, and dead wrong. Maybe Democrats should spend more time respecting achievements—and less time tripping over their own double standards. If Greg Abbott is a “DEI hire,” what does that say about the rest of their hollow, virtue-signaling movement?
